Lucy's First School Talent Show

They had the 2 year old talent show at First School.
Lucy and I talked about all different things she could do for her talent.....sing a song (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star or Jesus Loves Me), do her dance from dance class, etc. "NO" was her answer to everything. Finally, I mentioned being a cheerleader and calling the HOGS and she was sold!!
We practiced and practiced...she was ready.....had her cheerleading uniform on, pom poms in hand, and hogs on her face!
When it was her turn Ms. Carolyn asked Lucy what she was going to do and her answer was "Sing the ABC Song"!! WHAT????? ABC's????
So she did...she sang the ABC Song.....perfectly!!
Then Ms. Carolyn said "Now, since you are dressed the part, would you like to lead everyone in calling the HOGS?" And she did it....just like a little Razorback Cheerleader....
just like we had practiced!!

This is one of the first snows of the season. This is one of the LIGHTER snows we have gotten this year! It was great sledding snow so we headed to Wilson Park one afternoon for some sledding....along with everyone else in Fayetteville! It was lots of fun!!
Lucy---in the "baby sled" that I pulled her around our street on!!
While Henry and the neighborhood boys built a RAMP for sledding!

Ski Snow Creek

We took a long weekend in January and headed up to Kansas City for the weekend.
We drove up to Snow Creek to ski on Friday. We had never been and thought it would be a good place to start Henry and Lucy out skiing.
It was bigger than we thought it was going to be.
Henry and Lucy took private lessons for 2 hours. Russ and I skied around while they were in lessons. Henry did GREAT! After his lesson, we practiced on the bunny slope a little while longer then he was ready to go up the lift!!
I took him up the lift and then he left me.....he was flying down the hill....I was yelling PIZZA HENRY PIZZA (wedge)!!! When I caught him I asked him why he didn't use his pizza and he said "Mom...I'm not gonna pizza all the way down the mountain!"
Lucy did great with her lesson too. She was worn out after the 2 hours so we took turns hanging out with Lucy and skiing with Henry.
