CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY....WHEN IT IS 10 DEGREES OUTSIDE!!

This weekend Russ had to work so Henry, Lucy, and I had lots of quaility time!
It was SO COLD outside that we couldn't do much----it was 10 degrees this morning!
So I decided we might as well open a couple Christmas presents!
On Christmas day some presents get pushed aside so I thought that we might as well open a couple and play with them since we were stuck indoors!

This is a world map puzzle that Russ bought---he left it in the sack in the garage and Henry found it on Friday. So we have done this puzzle over and over.
I have actually brushed up on my geography doing this puzzle!

This morning Henry went to Sunday School with Courtney and Ellie.
I decided it was too cold for Lucy and I!
After he got home I let him open a gift that I had wrapped while he was out!
It was a train cupcake pan and an apron!!
We were going to go get a cake mix this afternoon but he has gotten into his other gift
and doesn't want to leave!

Then I decided to let him open his Thomas the Train game that goes with his
Fisher Price motorcycle. Collin and Becka got him this motorcycle last year for Christmas and he has LOVED it! He has been on the motorcycle all afternoon!

Henry's Christmas Program

Henry had his school Christmas program Thursday night!
He did a great job!
He was supposed to wear a santa hat and sunglasses!
He was one of the few that left his hat and sunglasses on.
He looked like a little Stevie Wonder up there!

Getting ready! Lucy didn't like the sunglasses!!

Russ took my pic as I was recording the program! ha!

Clubhouse Christmas

We decided that Henry's clubhouse needed some holiday decorations.
So we strung some lights and hung a wreth and now the backyard looks very festive!
The finished product---looks much better in person!!!

St Jude's Memphis Half-Marathon

Last weekend we went to Memphis to run the St. Jude's Half-Marathon.
Russ, Mark, Courtney, Leah, and I all ran the race.
It was really cold but lots of fun!!
We did get to get our pic made with Elvis after the race was over!!

Christmas Pajamas!!

I LOVE Christmas pajamas!!
As soon as it was December we started wearing ours!
Here are a couple pics of Henry and Lucy in front of the tree the other night before bed!

Wednesday Afternoon Fun!

Last Wednesday, Ellie and Hunt came over to play while Courtney went to get her hair done.
We had lots of fun! Ellie and Henry played and played and then we made cookies.
They each got 5 (because they said they were 5 years old) and put icing and sprinkles on them.
Hunt had a big time too----mainly chasing Peggy. If I turned around and couldn't find him he was in the dining room under the table!
Poor Lucy was taking a nap and missed most of the action!!

Veneers

A few weeks ago Henry fell out of a play wagon and hit his front tooth---really hard---on the hardwood floors. When it happened I thought he had knocked it out but it just bled really bad.
I noticed he wasn't eating on it for the next few days but then he would insist it was better.
Slowly it turned dark...then darker....then darker.
It looked like he had been eating M&M's constantly!
Last week he went to the dentist and got it x-rayed on Tuesday. Erin said that the tooth was dead but it doesn't mean it will fall out.
The good news was it is not infected but it will just stay dark!
Soooo---we got a veneer on his front tooth! It isn't really a veneer but the same concept!
She shaved off the front layer and painted white on. It is still a little dark but MUCH better!
Henry was sooo good! I was so proud of him!
I had told him how he needed to lay back and pretend he was asleep because it was very important that he lay VERY STILL. He laid back and grabbed the side of the chair and didn't move until they were done. They gave him a little gas and at the end he made a comment that his legs were growing longer! I think it was getting to him! ha!
Then we went to get a cone a Shakey's because he was so good!!Before pic---you can see how dark it was in this pic

Happy 9 Months LUCY!!!

9 month old Lucy!
I can't believe Lucy is 9 months old!!
We went to see Santa Claus on her 9 month birthday. Can you tell she was very interested in him! She just gave him her serious stare!
Henry was VERY excited to see Santa and tell him what he wanted for Christmas.
