MICHAEL

I was looking back at pictures and forgot to show pics of Michael.

Around Easter Henry's class hatched baby chics in his class. Henry was so excited that week to get to school in the mornings to see if any babys had hatched over night. So one day when I picked him up from school I had a weak moment and said YES to letting him bring a chic home.

LOOK HOW CUTE HE IS.....how could I say no??

They named him Michael and we loved him for about a week.....but cute Michael grew FAST and pooped A LOT! He got BIG and not so cute very fast and started to fly out of his box that was in our kitchen! I began to panic about what to do with Michael since Russ had not been building a coop in the backyard like I suggested!

Luckily, a lady I work with, Esther, lives on a farm and has all kinds of animals---chickens included! So when I mentioned to Esther that maybe Michael might like to make friends with her chickens she said no problem! I explained to Henry and Lucy about Esther's chickens and how Michael would probably be happier with friends...and we could go visit him if we wanted to!

They agreed to the plan and one afternoon we all loaded Michael up and we were waiting on Esther outside the VA Hospital when she got off work at 2:30!

We said our good-byes and off Michael went to his new home on the farm! We ask Esther about Michael often....she says he is a very BIG boy and is happy living on the farm!!

Not EVERYONE at our house loved Michael!

Michael getting big! I can't find the pictures from the day he went to the farm but I swear he was twice this size!!
